Bye Tremadog Queen's Hotel Narrow Gauge Please Read Me

The Last Morning in Tremadog

It was time to say goodbye to everyone on our Tremadog trip. We had a great time with great colleagues seeing great places. Walks to Portmeirion, Criccieth and Snowdon were all experiences to "write home about". And then there was the "Slate Walk" to the "Café at the end of the Universe". Definitely unforgettable experiences!

Here's a last look at Snowdon Lodge, birthplace of Lawrence of Arabia.

Queen's Hotel

I stayed on in Porthmadog to see the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway and to travel between Porthmadog and Carnarvon on the Welsh Highland Railway. These were gaps in my experience - gaps I was keen to fill now I had the opportunity! I stayed at the Queen's Hotel, which was very conveniently right next to Porthmadog main line station and just across the road from the station of the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway.

I took up lodgings for two nights at the Queen's Hotel. The hotel was right next to Porthmadog main line station and across the road from the station of the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway.

Narrow Gauge Galore!

The morning and early afternoon at the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway were most interesting. After that I went down to the Porthmadog Harbour. Here is the joint station of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland (not Heritage!) Railways. The immediate purpose was to buy a ticket for the following day's 25-mile (50 miles return) journey on the WHR to Carnarvon. However, there were some more pictures to be taken, and then I visited "Spooner's Cafe and Grill" at the Harbour Station. And so ended my day!
